The Manchester United goalkeeper seemed to be on top of his game for quite some time but after a while, there was a slight downfall and this downfall kept barreling downhill at rapid speeds until it eventually lead to the complete demise of Victor Valdes. So what exactly happened and is there any chance of recovery?

Victor Valdes is no stranger to the game, especially for Manchester United. He’s actually a three time Champions League champion. When he first arrived in Manchester United, he had the intention of succeeding David De Gea, but it wasn’t to be.

On the personal opinion, Valdes shouldn’t be feeling any kind of blues. He is still living the dream, and he even has extra time to check out the latest StanJames Grand National odds if he fancies having a bet.

It was reported that Valdes could have earned a really cool 3 million pounds from the gig he had at Manchester United. While everything may seem fine, Valdes describes his time at Manchester United as a nightmare and what’s funny to most football players is what he considers a nightmare is an absolute dream for other players who wish to join the highly esteemed ranks of Manchester United.

In September of 2015, the 34 year old player tried to leave. Instead, plans have changed and Valdes joined the Belgian Pro League’s club that’s ranked number seven this month instead. Why did he do this? What were his motives and what exactly happened to the player to take such a drastic cut? Van Gaal however, his boss, had not forgiven him or his disobedience to the club and he publicly stated his frustrations towards the player.

So what’s next to Valdes and will he remain where he’s currently at? Will he continue to play? We’ll wait and see…

Luis Suarez says that he has learned from his mistakes

Luis Suarez received a 9 match ban for Uruguay which prevented him performing with his national side for over 20 months.

The Uruguayan player received this ban after he bitted Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini during the 2014 World Cup.

This ban just recently expired and the time simply couldn’t have been better as he makes his return to the Uruguayan national football team just in time to play with Uruguay in their 2018 World Cup qualification match as they locked horns with Brazil.

Brazil faced off with Uruguay on March 26 in a match that concluded with a final scoreboard of 2-2. Luis Suarez made his return to Uruguay in this game and he managed to mark his name on the score-sheet as he found the back of the net at the 48th minute.

Suarez has recently talked about his biting incident with Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini and Suarez said that from this point forward, he will be playing more intelligently as the Uruguayan perfomer wants to avoid going through a similar thing.

“I have to be more intelligent in many ways. I am trying to take advantage of the situations life is putting in front of me. I have to do things better and enjoy my return to the national team and the people’s kindness.’’

“No-one is going to change the way I play. I am going to have the same attitude. I will still run, still pressure, still argue. However, it will be with moderation and as you have seen me play for Barcelona recently. I have been working over the last few weeks on trying to control my anxiety, my nerves, which people’s euphoria can cause, but I am very relaxed.” Barcelona’s Luis Suarez said.

Uruguay are currently positioned in 2nd place in the CONMEBOL 2018 World Cup qualifications with 10 points being snatched from the 5 matches that have been played so far.

Sporting Lisbon is interested in signing Victor Valdes

It’s pretty clear that Victor Valdes does not have a future with Manchester United as the Spanish goal-keeper has had problems with Louis van Gaal after the player reportedly refused to play in a reserve match and this has led to Valdes being completely dropped from Manchester United matches and Valdes is now performing for the Belgium side Standard Liège as he signed a 6 month loan deal which extends until the end of the season.

Even when the loan deal with Standard Liège finalizes, Valdes will have to find another club to join if he wants to continue performing and Manchester United is not a viable nor likely option but Valdes has attracted the attention of Sporting Lisbon as they are believed to be interested in signing the veteran shot-stopper.

Victor Valdes has a contract with Manchester United which expires in the summer but they have the option of extending it further, however, this isn’t a realistic thing that is expected to occur. If Sporting Lisbon is indeed interested in signing Valdes, the Portuguese club has a chance to do this in a few months’ time but they might face competition from the Premier League side Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola will be joining Manchester City at the end of the current season and it’s rumored that the Spanish manager wants to reunite with Victor Valdes and he will attempt to lure him to the Etihad Stadium. If Sporting Lisbon and Pep Guardiola are indeed interested in securing the services of Valdes then there will be a battle between both of them as they will attempt to sign Valdes during the upcoming summer transfer window.

It doesn’t really matter so much for Valdes as to what club he joins, either Manchester City or Sporting Lisbon. As long as he joins any club and has a realistic chance of becoming a regular starter it will be a huge boost for Victor Valdes as he can spark his career back to life after having sustained a disastrous campaign with Manchester United.

Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal with goalkeeper Victor Valdes

Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal with goalkeeper Victor Valdes, which would see the former Barcelona keeper leave the club in the January transfer window.

He was originally signed as the replacement for David de Gea. The club expected the Spaniard to leave the Red Devils for Real Madrid. However, improved performances coupled with a sudden change in mind meant thatde Gea ended up staying at Old Trafford. Unable to provide in a first-team opportunities for Valdes, who had just recovered from a long-term anterior cruciate ligament injury, manager Louis van Gaal has been involved in a war of words with the player.

Keen to avoid any confrontation, it is reported that United have agreed to release the player from his contract. Interestingly, Valdes signed a contract with United only a few months ago after having spent several weeks training with the club. Valdes has never played for any club other than Barcelona prior to his move to United. It is reported that several French clubs are interested in signing the player, who earns around £ 60,000 per week from his contract at United. Teams like Paris St Germain and Lyon are reportedly showing interest.

United are yet to confirm this news officially, but it is expected to be announced over the next few days. Despite having been at United for almost a year, Valdes has made only two appearances for the club. It is almost certain that he has played his last game for the club unless an extreme circumstance forces Van Gaal to require his services. Valdes spent 12 years at Barcelona making close to 400 appearances in the league. He has won every major honour from the la Liga to the Champions League. He is also a World Cup and European Championship winner with the Spanish national team.

Wayne Rooney is confident in Manchester United

Manchester United’s Louis van Gaal is going through a summer signing spree as he has already signed: Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Memphis Depay and Matteo Darmian just to name a few of the big profile players that have recently entered Old Trafford and will be helping out the Premier League club in their journey of taking away the title from Chelsea as well as aim for the European titles.

Robin van Persie has already joined Fenerbahce and Louis van Gaal has to find another attacking player who can perform alongside Wayne Rooney scoring goals. Even though there still are a few things that need to be done not only with the attacking department of the squad but Louis van Gaal also has to find out what he is going to do in relation with the potential departure of David de Gea.

In spite of all the things that need to be done, Wayne Rooney believes that Manchester United has what it takes to go far in the next season and challenge the top teams in England.
Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney said: ‘’I honestly believe we will go far next year and won’t be far off challenging for the league. If you look at the first 10 to 11 games we only had around 13 points, and if you look at where we finished I think it shows we could have been up there with a better start. We’ve dominated and outplayed most teams this season but haven’t taken our chances to win those games; it could have been a different story if we had’’.

All the major clubs in the Premier League are preparing themselves for the 2015-16 season. Arsenal has already signed Petr Cech meanwhile Manchester City made a huge splash by spending €50 in securing the services of Raheem Sterling.

Even though Louis van Gaal has already signed some prominent figures in this summer transfer window its far from over for the Dutch coach as he wants to do everything he can in order to transform Manchester United into the favorites of winning the next season of the top tier English League and a few more signings are expected to be done.

Antonio Conte has been struggling to put his own impression

Italy manager Antonio Conte has been struggling to put his own impression on the national team.

Italy manager Antonio Conte has been struggling to put his own impression on the national team.

The highly successful former Juventus manager was expected to reform the national team from the bottom up. However, results are also expected from the manager during this period. It is something that Conte has managed to deliver but on a highly inconsistent basis. The team has lost some high profile matches already and they have been going into the World Cup 2018 qualification draw at a high disadvantages due to this aspect. The rankings of the Italian national team has dropped significantly since the World Cup 2014 exit.

This placed them at the mercy of the draw when it came to qualifying for the World Cup 2018. There was a possibility of being grouped alongside heavyweights like Germany. Both these previous winners had a much better ranking than Italy. However, Conte breathed a sigh of relief after he learned that Spain would be an opponent. The Spanish would have been major favourites for the title a few years ago, but this is not the same all-conquering side. As a result, Italy appear to be relatively confident that they can reach the World Cup 2018 as the group winners without having to go through a play-off.

“It is a tough group, however, I prefer to think that Spain could boost us. I don’t like the word ‘difficult’. It will be a stimulating challenge against one of the strongest in the world. I am sure that we can do well and we can have good performances.Spain is not the best draw, but Germany would have been worse. In theory, Italy and Spain are the favourite teams in the group. However, Albania have started playing really well in the Euro qualifying, so they have chances to qualify,” said Conte.

Victor Valdes made a good impression in the final game of the Premier League campaign

Victor Valdes made a good impression in the final game of the Premier League campaign after keeping a clean sheet against Hull City.

The former Barcelona man was used in the place of David de Gea, who missed the game due to injury. However, he is widely believed to have played his last game for the Red Devils amidst from Real Madrid. A move back to Madrid sounds extremely exciting for the player, who has been named as the Player of the Year by the club and its players. After having joined United back in January, it took a long time for Valdes to make his debut.

A move back to Madrid sounds extremely exciting for the player, who has been named as the Player of the Year by the club and its players. After having joined United back in January, it took a long time for Valdes to make his debut.

It was a debut well worth the wait after he managed to prevent Arsenal from getting a vital win at Old Trafford. However, his best game in a United shirt came against Hull. Even though this game did not mean anything for the former champions, a draw was a good result away from home against a team fighting to stay in the league. Defender Phil Jones praised the class shown by Valdes. It is widely believed that the Spaniard could be the ultimate replacement for David de Gea should he leave for Madrid. However, United continue to be linked with other goalkeepers like Petr Cech, with odds of 5/1 for De Gea to be replaced offered by the bookies, and higher if you use a Betfred promo code to double the odds.

“Victor is a terrific goalkeeper. We knew what kind of player we were signing when he came here, and he’s been different class,” Jones said.”No, he is very quick and explosive. He is very good on the line, so this game was created for him!But in the first half he let one ball loose and it was a goal, so he was very lucky that it was ruled offside,” said manager Louis Van Gaal. One of the reasons behind the lack of confidence in Valdes was the career threatening knee injury he suffered in his final season at Barcelona.

Victor Valdes is certain that he made a right switch as he moved to Manchester United

Victor Valdes completed his move to Manchester United on January of 2015 as the Spanish goal-keeper left Barcelona after picking up a knee injury which left him out of action for a significantly long period of time and Louis van Gaal offered the veteran shot-stopper the chance to recover from his injury in the training facilities of Manchester United and the English club later decided to sign Victor Valdes on a permanent contract with an 18 month long deal.

Valdes has fully recovered from his injury but he still has not been able to make a single appearance for the Premier League club and even though the experienced shot-stopper has not made his debut for Manchester United, he still believes that making a move to Old Trafford was a correct move.

The 33 year told reporters: “I am very happy for this option in my career after my injury,” Valdes told United’s official website. I never thought maybe I will be a player of Manchester United but the manager called me and gave me this option, so it was a surprise for me. I always say it’s great for my career to be a part of this club and part of this team and, maybe, I hope to win another important trophy here too.”

There is no real possibility of Victor Valdes turning into a regular starter in Manchester United as David de Gea is the undisputed first choice goal-keeper of the Premier League club and de Gea has already established himself as one of the best players in the world at his position even though he is only 24 years old.

David de Gea has not shown any signs of slowing down and this is good news for Manchester United as the club has at their disposal a player who has a very promising future ahead but at the same time it’s not such a good news for Victor Valdes as he will have to settle with a place on the sidelines of Old Trafford for the majority of the upcoming seasons or at least during the time that he spends in Manchester United.

Victor Valdes gives stunning admission that David is best Goalkeeper

Former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has given a stunning admission that his rival for the number one spot at Manchester United, David de Gea, appears to be the best goalkeeper in the world right now.

Former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has given a stunning admission that his rival for the number one spot at Manchester United, David de Gea, appears to be the best goalkeeper in the world right now.

The Spaniard has not only overcome the shaky start he made to his United career, but he has also gone from strength to strength in the last couple of years. He is now in a position to become one of the best goalkeepers in the world, but Valdes reckons that he may already have become one. After joining United in January on a free transfer, Valdes is looking to become the club’s number one goalkeeper.

It is proving very difficult indeed given the less number of matches United have this season and the impeccable form shown byde Gea. The 24-year-old has made some outstanding saves while managing to keep alive the transfer rumours linking him with Real Madrid. The immense performances have produced a new transfer rumours stating thatde Gea could become the most expensive goalkeeper in the world – beating the previous record of Gianluigi Buffon – by making a £ 50 million transfer to Real Madrid.De Gea has now been playing at a consistently high level of performance which has led to many dismissing suggestions of luck and form.

“You are always waiting for your opportunity to play and train every day to show your performance to the manager. But now David is at a very, very high performance level. I think he is the most important goalkeeper in the world at the moment. So it is difficult [for me] to play and, of course, I must accept this. For me, the top [keeper] now is David. I see him every day in training. I watch him in every game, every week, and his performances right now are amazing,” said Valdes.

Andres Iniesta out for Next Six Weeks, says reports

Barcelona’s fears have been confirmed after with midfielder Andres Iniesta has been ruled out for the next six weeks.

Barcelona’s fears have been confirmed after with midfielder Andres Iniesta has been ruled out for the next six weeks.

The Spanish international is regarded as a major player in the team, despite not being in the best form for the last 12 months. Sergi Busquets has also been struggling for form in the last six months. This has put a lot of pressure on Iniesta to deliver the goods this campaign. The 30-year-old is yet to score in seven appearances in the league. He has also contributed little in terms of assists. Despite this, Barcelona have been left with a major headache due to the absence of Iniesta for the coming weeks.

The injury blow is slightly softened by the fact that the international break comes in during this period. Spain will have to do without their enigmatic player, who won them the 2010 World Cup with his goal in the final, for the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers. Apart from the disappointment of the Iniesta injury, Barcelona also had to contend with their first defeat in the league. The 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid reduces their lead over the archrivals to just one point. Manager Luis Enrique was criticised for his unique selection, which led to former Valencia man Jeremy Mathieu filling in the left back spot.

“I was surprised, but it’s the coach who decides where I play.We started well, but we were really exposed on the counter attack, which is Madrid’s greatest strength. And with their second goal they really hurt us.Although we’ve got tall players on the team – like Pique, Busquets and myself – it’s true we’ve got problems from dead-ball situations. We need to work harder at them,” saidMathieuabout featuring for one of the biggest clubs in the world in a position that he does not prefer much.
