Barcelona players not affected by Neymar speculation

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has said that the players are unlikely to be affected by the ongoing speculation associating Neymar with a return to the club. The Brazil international has played no part for Paris Saint-Germain since the beginning of the season and reports have emerged that he is keen on returning to the Camp Nou before the September 2 transfer deadline.

Amidst this, Valverde has been questioned about the attacker’s potential return on numerous occasions, but the Spaniard has come up with the same response each time around. Speaking in a press conference, Valverde stressed that there is always speculation with the transfer window open and the players have to live with that.

La Liga more competitive than ever

Former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes believes that La Liga has become more competitive in recent years and it is becoming increasingly difficult to win it.

He said that there was a time where only Barcelona and Real Madrid was competing for the title but things have changed in recent years. He said that teams such as Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, and Valencia have all become stronger and making it difficult to win games against.

HART DROPPED BY PEP

Former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola could make another goal keeper as his first choice since dropping Joe Hart from the position he has held for years – for club and country.

There are reports that Joe Hart fears his career at Manchester City might be over as he was overlooked when Man City began their 2016/2017 campaign against Sunderland. Daily Mail reports that Man City would listen to offers for the talented 29-year old goal stopper, but in the range of £20 million.

BARCA CRUISE

VALDES MOVES ON

It looks like Victor Valdes has his mind set on departing Barcelona despite having his teammates of the Catalan club trying to persuade him to remain where he is right now. While it still is mystery on why the Spanish goalkeeper will be making his way out of one of the best clubs in the world, Valdes spoke about his current situation.

MOVE CONFIRMED

It has been confirmed that Victor Valdes will leave Barcelona – the club he has played for since the start of his career – at the end of the season. He has been widely rumoured to join the likes of PSG and Monaco, while recent interest from Manchester City has also increased.

Previously, it was thought that he would be heading to Bayern Munich for a potential reunion with Pep Guardiola, but it now appears that such a move may not happen after all. Barcelona are already on the lookout for a top goalkeeper in order to replace Valdes at the end of the season.

VALDES SET TO GO

Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes recently announced that he will be definitely leaving the club at the end of the season, but that has not prevented him from praising super star Lionel Messi as a god.

Messi is regarded as the best player in the world after having won the last four FIFA Ballon d’Or awards. Valdes has improved dramatically in the last few years and he will find no shortage of interested parties. It is expected that he will announce the decision of his next club in January when he will be free to talk with interested parties.

MARTINO LAUDS VALDES

The manager of Barcelona, Gerardo Martino, has lauded the goalkeeper of his team Victor Valdes for his performance in the recently played La Liga game against Rayo Vallecano.
Valdes made some great saves in that game and helped Barca secure a 4-0 win which took them to the top position in the points table.

Apart from Valdes, the other guy who stood out for Barca in that match was Pedro Rodriguez. He found the net thrice in the game. The 4th goal was scored by Cesc Fabregas.
