Valdes Announced Departure From Barcelona

After spending 12 years with Barcelona, Victor Valdes has announced his departure from the Spanish club as he will be leaving the club based in Camp Nou with an anterior cruciate ligament which he suffered during Barcelona’s league match against Celta de Vigo.

This injury will be leaving Valdes out of action for the 2014 World Cup as well as he had to miss out from a number of league matches for Barcelona as they had to resort with utilizing Pinto for the last few stages of the season.

The 32 years old shot-stopper penned a letter in which he applauded the work of Louis van Gaal, Frank Rijkaard and Pep Guardiola for all the work and contributions they have made towards his career and Barcelona.

Valdes is not expected to complete his recovery anytime soon as he will be missing out from the 2014 World Cup due to the severity of his injury but even in his current physical condition there already are a number of clubs which are interested in signing him with the French outfit Monaco being one of the more heavily rumored and probably destination.
